Hi ladies, hope everyone is as good as they can be.
I have my first Zoladex injection tomorrow, am very nervous about it. Worried about what the side effects will be like, but also looking forward to seeing if it takes away this terrible pain I am constantly in. Will let you know how I get on x x

The pain of the implant I assure you is over in a flash I always ask for a padded dressing on it afterwards just for comfort really .
Everyone is very different to how they respond some people report an increase in pain'flare up' for a while but I didn't have this .My bleeding stopped within two weeks and the the pain eased massively for me.
they have been a god send for me and my side effects of hot flashes ,joint pain come and go but nothing to what I was experiencing with endo pain .
I hope you get on with them ok Just wanted to give you a positive message on them as we hear so many horror stories
Thank you for your reply. Your right, I think hot flushes and a few side effects will be nothing compared to the pain I'm in every day. Glad your treatment is going well x
Hi now on my second and things are good. The first month was horrible , first two weeks were ok but then had a flare up (which I think is normal) but this was made worse as the Zoladex makes me very constipated and it also caused severe depression. I'm now on laxido and antidepressants. Things have now settled down and I feel fine. I still get pain on my left ovary but this is due to a 11cm endometrioma which the zoladex won't help with. Like you i was very nervous about this but I'm glad I tried it .
Hi Tboag,I had a diagnostic lap in July in which it was drained as a temporary fix but I'm supposed to be having a total hysterectomy and ovary removal along with excision in January (still no date yet). Had an emergency ultra sound two weeks ago was then sent a another appointment for another one beginning of November as it appears something else is going on on the right side but don't know what. So now I just have to wait again to what will happen. Hope you are well.
Thank you Jean. I am already on anti depressants as I have another long term health condition. Hoping it won't make it any worse. Hope they get things sorted for you x x
Hi ladies, had my injection done Monday and it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. Was a little sore afterwards. I have also been given Tibolone HRT to take while I am having the injections. So far I feel a bit more down in the dumps than I normally do, and achy all over and have a headache, but the constant pain in my groin seems to have eased, so keeping fingers crossed x x
