i have both of the above, i am 55 years old still have periods. i am having bad cramps but no period as i just had one after 3 months, is it normal to have pain but no period with these conditions?

Yes! Very normal, both can give you debilitating pain on all days of the month, it could be you are bleeding due to the fibroids and adenomyosis never mind having periods.

I am 30 and whenever I have completed my family will be considering hysterectomy to get rid of the pain. I would definitely get a referral from your gp to gynae to talk about how to resolve the pain issues ie. whether or not they think things will improve with natural menopause or whether you could benefit from hormone treatment or surgery.
