Mirena

After 12 months plus of horrendously painful periods and trying no end of tablets I've booked in to have a mirena fitted, forgot to mention the the doctor though that the hospital consultant wants me to have a biopsy - can I still have this done with a mirena fitted? Or will I have to cancel my appointment? 😔

May be harder for them to get to everything. If you have had the mirena in for long enough, it may start to get womb lining around it and be part of the womb so they may miss bits. I'm not sure how long it takes to get to that stage but i had mine in for 7 months and that started to happen so they had to be careful when it was removed.
