Pill and weight gain

I've been on Cerazette for 10 days and I am massively bloated. 1/2 stone, nothing fits. This is my second time on this pill and I just feel like it's de ja vu all over again.

I know I'm asking for a miracle but could anyone recommend a pill which would maybe cause less weight problem

I suffered from the same thing with Cerazette, micronor and Cilest so know exactly how you feel! Literally the only one that ever worked for me is 'Dianette' - it's mainly for skin and period problems. I've been on about 8 different pills and its amazing in comparison. The only thing is, it's been linked to high blood pressure so you'll need to get your blood pressure taken every few months and GP's seem to be adamant to give you it (mine was anyway) but persevere and even mention that a friend of yours has reacted the same way as you on the pills you're on and it's the only one that has worked for her.

I recently had the mirena coil fitted which has been awful and I'm waiting to get it removed and go back on dianette!

Good luck x

I had the coil and it was a disaster too. I'd be reluctant to take Dianette. It's been banned in France because of blood clots and it can cause problems with depression. I already have problems with depression and PTSD.

Maybe thats why they are so insistent on checking your blood pressure?

Yeah I've heard about blood clots too! I've suffered from mild depression in the past (before dianette) and thankfully didn't suffer from it when I was on it! I suppose it affects everyone differently but hopefully there's another pill that's better suited to you:) xx

No thanks for your advice. It's just mine is quite severe. So I wouldn't want to risk it xxx

Yeah you're definitely better not risking it! You'd probably be better going back to your GP and asking them which one they feel is best suited? Then even go online afterwards and research the pill/side effects and how effective it is:) good luck xx

I've had lots of problems with the pill before but Dianette was the best I'd ever been on. I would go back on it if I could but I'm at high risk of blood clots so they won't let me. Didn't have any problems with depression whilst on it (even though I'd had depression in the past). See if you can get it and give it a try. X

The problem is if I end up bad again I'll end up im hospital. I suffer from severe depression and PTSD. I need to be really careful. I have worked really hard getting myself back on track. It's really not something I would risk. xxx

I have tried every pill in the book. The only one thats working for me is yasmin. I have a break every 3 months which is just right for me. Good luck and hope you find one that suits you soon, its a nightmare! xx
