Abnormal Period

I am on the pill and completed a normal period. I then started my new birth control pack and a week later started another period. I continued taking my pills as usual hoping it was only spotting but the bleeding continued as a normal heavy period. THis has been going on for almost two weeks now and it won't stop. My pill pack ends in three days. Should I skip right to the next pack or take the week of sugar pills?! I am going away next week and would really prefer for it to be gone!!! Any advice is greatly appreciated!
