Hi. I am 49 and had my right ovary only removed back in the 80s due to being twisted. My periods are the same, had two children and never had to take hrt meds. Now though the period pain has gotten extremely disabling on that same side only. My left one rarely hurts and I get two periods a month for years now..one light and one so cruel in pain I want to cut it out..ugh..I end up in excruciating pain wrapped in a ball in bed for days and we can do nothing at that time of every month. Ive asked dr.s and been told its hecause they left my tube and nothing can be done. I just cant see that and living this way is pure hell at these times. Has anyone elsr gone or is going through this and have you gotten any answers? Id appreciate any feedback help as this is interrupting our lives and ibuprofen etc isn't even touching the pain.
Thanks for reading!

Hi and thank you. I have asked my gynecologist s and pcps and get told its the tube. I cant seem to get them to understand how disabling it has become. I am on day 2 of this now and thought id look on line for any answers. I can barely walk as it affects the right leg also.I think its the sharp severe pain just affects the whole side n leg and I bleed heavy clots. I am going to make an appt with a new gynecologist and pray for some answers. I couldnt agree more with your post.it just makes no sense why it gets this way with no ovary, yet the left barely lets me know its there. I was told I had endo back in the 90s also and had a fibroid but nothing was done. I also during abdominal scans was told I had a mass, possibly cyst on left ovary and it needed to be looked at but the gynecologist didnt do anything about it. Thats been told to me on several scans now. I dont know if thats the cause of this but I dont believe so. I will post what the new gynecologist says and will make appt.this week. Its just getting worse and trying to plan our vacation is proving very difficult with this going on and having to tell my family I cant do things during this n that time frame is getting ridiculous. Thank you and I agree with what you ve said and it actually helps to talk about it
