My nurse said it is trial and error. I was on Dianette when I started with symptoms and I had to come off that as I had been on it too long. I was put onto Mercilon which saw a week of improvement then a rapid deterioration. I am now on Loestrin and just onto my 2nd pack and things seem to have lifted a bit.

I haven't gone progesterone only as I did not take well to a Mirena a couple of years back and the nurse suggested this pill. She seemed quite knowledgable and spent ages looking back at pills I have had in the past and had problems with - usually acne which was another reason for not going for theprogesterone only.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know if I am supposed to go on the combined pill, because I was told that was best for endo. But cause I smoke the nurse told me I could only have progesterone only. It has already started to make me have spots, so I am unsure if this is right for me, and right for women with endo? I am unsure weather I was supposed to get a combined pill and if it makes a difference being on the combined one to progesterone only?
