Tranexamic acid and the pill.....

Basically been bleeding heavy since 3rd May. Been prescribed tranexamic acid. But I am still taking my normal combined pill? I've just read this can interact with it, anyone else had this? Maybe this is why my bleeding hasn't stopped? Xx

Hello, I've been bleeding since April 27th I am scheduled for a D and C Thursday the ultrasound showed thickened lining. Anyway last night I ended up in the E.R. passing huge clots and bleeding heavy. I was prescribed the pill along with T-acid. I'm assuming it is safe for a short period of time. However, I did find this post because I just read the interaction myself lol. Hopefully someone will come along with some experience with the two together.

I'm still taking it but wen I stop or reduce my intake I'm bleeding again really heavy. I'm feel really down today about it all and in so much pain x

I just had an appointment with my DR. She said these two pills should not be taken together. She advised me to stop taking the T-acid. All day yesterday and today I've been bleeding heavy and passing clots the size of my palm she said the two together will do this. I wouldn't take either pill until you can reach your doctor. I'm also having alot of leg pain Dr, suggested tums. Please update me. I totally know how you are feeling. I am losing sleep over this and very stressed out and this mix up just made things worse!

Oh my legs are in agony it's like I've ran a marathon and my back. I've got an appointment with my consultant in the morning xx

Let me now how it goes and for your legs you can try the tums or almonds my doc. said as well. Are you passing huge clots as well?
