It’s not pleasant and you wonder about side effects/reactions, I did, that and hate injections. I’d read about them before it was suggested and wasn’t keen.

Doctors think everything is no big deal, they train to come across that way, that and it’s not them on the receiving end!

Hi moon thanks for your response.. so true not them on receiving end.. God we are not robots and we don't have to be brave and strong at the same time.

I cried after my first injection- I couldn’t explain why- just felt very emotional. I was very bruised as well. (I sat in my car and had a good cry).

I have the nurses do my injections and they are very empathetic, I have had the best relief with Zoladex- my quality of life has improved massively. I hope it’s the same for you- it get easier

I had the injections 2 years ago after having tubes removed. And like you struggled with feeling down and things. Even with people around you they don't really get it. I used this a lot through that time and had some wonderful help and advice. Hope you feel better soon and x x

Hi. I have just recently finished 3 months should of been 6 to 9 months but I couldn’t get the combined HRT patches so I stopped as my GP wanted me to put a progesterone pessary inside my vagina plus use the oestrogen patch but I didn’t fancy that idea much. Whilst I was on the Zoladex I had no pain apart from the first month when I i had 2 days of strong period pains and I did feel well since stopping it I am back to square one feel rough most days and have been in pain. I hope it suits you and you get something out it.

Had tried the injections twice. My first experience, prior to an operation, was fine. My second, not so good, as the hot flushes were unbearable. I was recommended not to have add back hrt, but I’ve heard if you can take hrt, it can relieve the side effects. Bare that in mind if you struggle.

Wow.. I hope all continue well with you

I’d like to see how a Dr would cope with one, have you seen the size of the needle 😱 you have every right to feel how you do. It’s a very daunting thing. I was crapping myself and still do and I’m due my 6th this month. And your not alone you have the 48884 people on here to support you xx
