Pain after laparoscopy

Hi all, Ive had pain for the past 6 months that was daily rather than related to my periods. I had a laparoscopy done last week where they have removed the endo! I found it relieved my pain for about a day. I Was uncomfortable from op but pain feels exactly the same as before now! I have a follow up appointment in 6 weeks time but they haven't discussed any medication or contraception to help. Has anyone else found the pain to return almost immediately, I'm not sure if it's where I'm still recovering I just feel very low I don't want the pain to be daily like it was before

Hi, I'm waiting for my lap, also due to daily aches and pains, so I don't have experience, but give it time hopefully what your experiencing in post op pain, fingers crossed your pain will decrese over the next week or two, make sure you rest well, xxx

Thank you. I'm hoping it will get better over the next few weeks! I'm very impatient and after having pain every day I think I was looking for immediate relief! Good luck with ur op xxx

Hi the pain of surgery takes a few weeks to go in my experience so give it some time. Also rest. You do need to let your body heal and if you don't you may get adhesions etc that will give you a new set of problems, gentle excercise only. It took about two weeks to feel OK but then inside is still not healed so take things very gently for a few months. Take care and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Thank you! I need to learn to be a bit more patient I think. Hopefully I should feel better soon I have another week off of work so plenty of rest and films is what I need xx
