I've been off the pill and prostap injections since 14 Jan and still no period! How can I get pregnant when I don't know how my bodies working..also I'm probably way too early to be thinking about making a baby after only being off injections a few weeks but it just hard not having any control over this...

Hey, i think manufacturers recommend waiting four months after stopping injections.
I dont want to stress you out but i didnt bleed for sixteen months post six months of zoladex & deprovera so slightly different & i was found to have a blocked tube. I was an extreme case but its common to take months. Not trying to upset you but didnt want you to worry they are not back after such a short timexxx
Give your body time to adjust again. My consultant told me Zoladex and Prostap are fairly brutal treatments and it can take a while for your system to settle back into it's own natural rythmn again. Be good to yourself, eat well, and exercise!
I had de decapeptyl injections and my consultant said that I could start trying 8 weeks after the last injection finished or as soon as I had a period- whatever came first. I had to wait 16 weeks after the injection finished (28 weeks from last injection) to ovulate however fell pregnant with this egg! I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and everything is going great so far. We knew that we were going to start trying after the treatment so every week waiting felt like a month- however all worth it didn't imagine in a million years we would fall first time!! Good luck to you xxx
Hi, I had my last Prostap injection in July and havent had a period yet (don't want one either!). I think 6 months is the average - so could be less or more, everyone is different. As I understand it you should not try to conceive until you are sure the Prostap has left your system, as it can damage a foetus - best to ask your consultant for advice. good luck!
