A gynae clinic doctor told me it would be at least six months, could be up to a year, but it turned out to be only two months for me. Suggests this varies quite a bit? Sorry that probably doesn't help :)

I think the average is 6 months, which means for some women its less and others its more! I had my last 3 month jab in july, but havent had a period yet - I'm not in a for one hurry either!

Hi Daisy

I didn't really want mine back.. After the first 6 months injection (of Prostap) it only took 6.5 weeks after the last injection.. So back again on more injections (another 2 months) and this time it actually took 13, almost 14 weeks for it to re-appear after the last injection. So now I'm back on more Prostap injections. I might be lucky (the other way ;-) ) this time..

Good luck, enjoy lots of 'making babies' (pain free ;-) hopefully!) xx

I'm so anxious just want a period even though since stopping injections last week I've been off work and in agony. Drugged up on codeine. Thank you for your help :-))) x

So sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly :-( If you are starting to feel worse again that is usually how also how I feel when my periods start again so hopefully.. What's the recommendation re NSAID - anti-inflammatory pain killers - should be ok to take when you are trying for a baby? I need a combination of painkillers when my flare ups start again; naproxen+paracetamol+codein. Not nice to try for a baby when you're feeling like that.. ;-( When I'm really fed up with the pain I have 2 x glasses of wine - as well as all the painkillers! & I enjoy sex.. a bit easier ;-). Take care xx

PS with the naproxen (an NSAID like ibuprofen) I need to 'build up' even before the pain becomes bad and start/keep on taking them when I'm only in moderate or low pain. But if I have taken enough beforehand I might even enjoy 'a snuggle'

Yes I take all three of those!! I havnet been able to drink since taking codeine but tonight I think for gods sale surly one glass won't harm. The pains so bad sex is out the window at minute. So nice to know I'm not alone x
