Probably hormonal migraines. Do they come with your period? I have these too. I have a strong painkiller called zomig which gets rid of them and I am trying acupunture to see if it helps.

Check your pill carefully if you are over 35 on the pill and get migraines you could be at risks of clots. I was told this by the dr last time I had a check up and was on Yasmin at the time.

Hope you get some answers.

Could be to do with amount of medication you are taking. You must go back to your dr and get this checked.

Headaches are part of my symptoms. I get migraines when under pressure,, stress or changes of barometric pressure. 70% of the time when I take the train into the city it triggers a migraine with fracture vision, aphasia and pounding head. I have been give Maxalt to abort these by my neurologist. He has also suggested taking a Frova before getting on the train. We'll see if this works. These headaches leave me spent a few days after and feeling as though I have suffered a stroke - which apparently is unlikely. I have no qualms in taking pills if they help treat the problem - especially when these headaches are debilitating. Best luck!

Just to clarify Zomig –Zolmitriptan isn’t actually a painkiller. Put simply It works by altering the chemical reaction that is going on in your brain that is causing the pain. This means if you have taken painkillers and they haven’t worked you are still okay to take Zomig or any triptan (maxalt etc) you doctor has prescribed.

Xx
