Hello there deary! How are you doing today. I hope that this finds you in best shape. I also wish that headaches are gone by now. If your dr told you that the cause is paracetamol overuse that must be the case. I believe that they see such things all the time. Like I am sorry to hear about what is going on but there is no changing! By this I mean changing it immediately! Obviously that you will make it on the long run. Let me ask you one thing though... Have you experienced endo before? What makes you so sure that you have them... You said it yourself that you are still waiting for your diagnosis. God bless you dear. Please take good care of yourself.

Hi there,

My gp has suggested i have endo. I wasnt even aware of it until he had mentioned it.

Once i had read about it i could highly relate my symptoms to it.

Everyday i am in pain and i hate it.

I will mention the headaches to my gp again next time i go.

Have seen a few posts on here regarding headaches.

Hope you are well xx

Hi, there’s something called ‘painkiller headache’ which I guess is what your GP is referring to.

The answer seems to be to reduce use of painkillers, which obviously isn’t easy for us! It would be interesting to hear what your GP thinks we can do...

It was actually a neurology consultant who told me this not my gp my mistake.

He didnt actually give me any recommendations.

My gp insisted in me still taking paracetamol which doesnt make sense.

I now take ibrupofen for pelvic pain and headaches. Dont do much but i get by xx

I have chronic migraines and endo. If you have stopped the paracetamol and the headaches continue I would think that demonstrates the paracetamol is not the culprit. There are specific amounts of each painkiller you can take per days a month before overuse headache is usually a problem, so if you try and stick to these it should help. Google medication overuse headache. I take Imigran and have to try to keep below 8 -10 tablets a month. I have struggled for 12 years with headaches, my advice is see a good headache specialist, get the right headache diagnosis and hopefully get some useful medication. All the hormone treatments for endo played havoc with my migraines so I’ve now had excision and hysterectomy, which I am currently recovering from. Headaches and endo are a troublesome combination, all the best with managing them both.
