Fed up

So glad I've found this page! I've been reading through and feel relieved there are other people out there like me! I'm tired, in pain, feeling low and miserable. So fed up of feeling like this and not being able to do "normal" things like go to work today, see friends and be a normal girlfriend. Want to be okay!

Awe sorry DaisyL...

We all have days like that... I would love to offer you some words of wisdom and a solution but alas... I don't have any. I struggle too with the same feelings...

A short while ago someone posted about making a box up for the bad days... I can not remember the title of the post. ? Box...

She gave her endo a name... I seem to think it was something like Etienne but cant find it. Anyways lets call it Bob! So she created a Bobs box... and in this box she had all the things she would need for a bad day. So in this box you could have the painkillers you need for the day, some cheesy girly movies or what ever tickles your fancy. Some cheesy mags if you like that type of thing... meditation guides etc and some treats... basically what ever will make your day tolerable. On a good day when you can think straight, write yourself a little note reminding yourself that its ok to have bad days and not be strong and put it in the box.

So on bad days.. rest, listen to your body.. stay in pj's and pull out the box.

Hope this helps....

Hugs xx

Wow. That is an amazing idea! Thank you. I think I will definitely try that. It's so hard to not feel guilty and sometime I envy others who have normal days. Having a box like you say and naming it is a great way and will hopefully make me feel better on those bad days xx

If you are anything like me...we are our worst enemies... the guilt we have grinds us down and drives us insane! Often seeing issues that nobody else sees because our guilt makes us believe they are there.

But try and remember.. you did not ask for this... nothing you did gave you this. Its just a horrible misfortune. And all the guilt you feel will not make it any better. So the next time you feel guilty for having a bad day.. slap yourself and tell yourself to stop! ;) because it will just get in the way of recouping....

Write it on the note for Bobs box... *I DO NOT NEED TO FEEL GUILTY, ITS NOT MY FAULT, ITS IS WHAT IT IS*

xx

Exactly! Guilt and then stressing over it won't help me. Instead I need to think it's okay I'm having a bad day and I'm going to rest and just relax. Appreciate the suggestion of the box and the notes! Brilliant idea x

Thats a great idea! Might make one and tell my other half to get it out when im having a bad day, as on my worst days im my own worst enemy and tend to feel very sorry for myself.

There are some cute pics on instagram, I discovered last night, also makes you realize how many more out there feel the same way as you, it's empowering in a way! My fav was a pic of John Goodman cocking a handgun and the text"Good Morning, Endometriosis Let's Dance"

When I discovered I had this disease in 1997, I would have liked to have known others like me, Now a days (clearing throat as I just realized that I officially sound like an old person now) you can communicate easily with technology like this and youtube ect, it's awesome!

It's reassuring knowing there's others in exactly the same position isn't it x
