Have you been diagnosed with endometriosis??

Yes I have. I have scarring and endo on both ovaries but they were able to remove the rest which was in my pelvis and womb.

Hi Missy

I've been having the same bleeding issues after having the mirena coil inserted 3 months ago. Are you using contraception?

Hi dabba76

I'm not using contraception because I was wanting the pill out of my system before I did but I'm now not sure if that was the right thing to do?do you find it draining or is it just me?

I do find it very draining. I bled/spotted for 10 days last month and 14 days this month. Very frustrating and I am dreading my next period just in case it's the same.

Has this just started? Have you recently had a lap? or is it just since you stopped taking contraception?

Well I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you don't have a repeat of your previous one. I had my lap back in February and it's been the last two times this has happened but it was only for 5 days the first time. I stopped the contraceptives around 4 months again so I don't think it's down to them or could it be? I just worry that if the bleeding doesn't stop I may not be able to concieve?

HI missy_7,

I have had the Marina fitted 14 months ago now and although it has made my periods so much lighter I bleed for 2 weeks or more when I have a period. I'm not regular as i've always been but it comes and go's. It's also very painful. I was told by the Dr that even though I have the

Marina and have had a lap and endo removal that anyone with endo will always have more painful periods that someone without. Made me wonder then...what was the point!

Has anyone else been told this? :-)

Hi cakegirl25

No one has told me that but I'm thinking I might go back to the doctors. I haven't had the marina fitted because we are wanting to start a family in the new year but I'm wondering whether to go back on contraceptives until then? I wanted my body all ready for when we did but I don't know how much more I can take?!

It is so nice to finally be able to speak to people that know how it feels and to advise me on things to do and try so thank you.

Hi I don't know if it's true or if they were just trying to shut me up but it seems to be from my experience. Maybe ask them for a method that is gunna be the quickest for your body to be ready to conceive after you come off it. I react badly to the pill and tried a lot of them so didn't want to keep taking them. My Dr's all kept asking me if I wanted kids over and over again and at the time I didn't so I don't know if the Marina is going to take longer to get out of my system when I decide I do, but we'll see. I hope they can help you and give you some good advice. I agree also this site is so good for advice and just helping to not feel alone :-) x
