I was wondering weather it's possible for chocolate cysts to appear even if you have a mirena coil as I am having many of the symptoms such as, severe pain in my left side, nuasea, feeling bloated all the time and a popping sensation form time to time?

Hello I have a mirena and also take the pill and my endo has returned with a vengeance. It only slows the growth down and doesnt stop it returning totally sadly. I hope you can find some relief soon xx

Thank you both for your replies my gyno has said to me if the pain carries on then she will have to take the coil out and start me on depo injections to try and calm the endometriosis down a bit,nim just starting to get a bit fed up now!

I struggled with my mirena for first year with pain and constant bleeding. My gynae added in micronor mini pill which helps alot. Persevere as it will be worth it if you can xx

I've tried the mini pill and that didn't work so I tried the combined pill and that didn't work either

Had the mirena. Got taken to Hosp on gas and air due to burst cyst on my left ovary. Gynea doc said coil causes cysts. In 9 days time I'm booked in to have a total hysterectomy with bilateral Salpingo oopherectomy. I'm nervous but just want an end to all this crap. Endo was in my ureta which has shrivelled my left kidney and it now only works at 17 percent. Also had left Fallopian tube out which was causing infertility. (Blocked by endo). My bowel and left ovary is stuck to my womb.

This condition is debilitating and I refuse to put up with it any longer. Roll 9th Sept to whip it all out lol!

Sorry to hear of your sufferering, I just want to rip the coil out myself it's caused more stress and pain then it did before I had it but I don't want the endometriosis to come back because it was agony, Everytime I to and see my consultant she just repeats herself and I am getting rather fed up and depressed of being in pain all the time and bleeding all the time I just want some answers x
