I had an uncomfortable feeling in my lower left abdomen/groin area like something was going to pop, this pain only comes just before my period (1-2 days) to 2 or so days after, it has developed now into a stabbing pain or like something is getting pulled apart and its also tender to the touch. The pain is so much I can't do sit ups on these days and sometimes its uncomfortable to walk upright. I had ultrasounds and I had a cyst on my right ovary which they went in on the wrong side but eventually removed laprascopically, then 6 months later I had another cyst this time they removed my right ovary too without telling me this was the plan. They were both classed as 'normal' cysts, and they said they could find no trace of endo and I need to hurry up and have a family so that they can take everything else out - why would they say this?!
Anyway I have tried all sorts of pain relief to no avail apart from a combination of 3 different classes which made me stoned so i could hardly get off the sofa and couldn't work - not something I want to be doing monthly for the rest of my life.
I am now living in Bahrain and still sore so I have had more ultrasounds last month which showed my left ovary is cyst free and normal, I had bloods and they are all normal and the ovary is ovulating, the doctor who gave me my results just said I have to live with it and its just period pain and what tablets do I want! I got a bit mad and said mefenamic acid doesn't work, ibuprofen dent work and the last lot of tablets didn't either (Tylenol). I have yet to find someone who has period pain that makes it tender to touch the area where the pain is. The doctors just speak to me like I am stupid and I feel like I should give up but I know this isn't normal and because the pain comes with my period it makes me thing its endo but somewhere like my bowel? I am 31, with healthy BMI, and just so tired of repeating the problem to doctors who seem to not care!
Please help!
