Hi everyone, it's so nice to be able to ask questions online about this condition. Myself and consultant have had suspicions about endo for over a year now and today I've had my laparoscopy and endo has been confirmed. They have discovered that's it's quite bad on my bowel and ureter. I was just wondering what the prognosis was for endometriosis on the bowel? I have to wait again now to speak worn specialist gynae and G.I doctors for more details about surgery etc but I'm feeling a bit anxious. Would be great if somebody could provide me with a bit of info, thanks very much in advance, Laura xx

Hi there
Like you I had an op recently and was told I have severe endo inc endo on the bowel. I am not sure about prognosis of endo on the bowel. I am going to read the "Endo for Dummies" section and see if that has any info. Will let you know if find anything useful.
I am glad you now have some answers and hope it hasn't been a long fight to get to this stage.
Hope your recovery from op is going ok. xx
Further to my above reply I have Just looked on Endo uk site which you may find useful and it has it's information publications you can download and look at which have info on endo on bowel, endo on bladder etc.
The web address is: endometriosis-uk.org/endome...
Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for your reply, it's been a year and 2 cancelled laparoscopies to get to this point. I'm scheduled for an appointment with reproductive medicine and G.I specialist to discuss what there will do next but I'm going out of moly mind thinking about what's going to happen x
Bless ya having 2 Lap's cancelled..couldn't have been easy and must have been so frustrating.
Yeh our minds can be our own worst enemy when we are having to wait for various appointments and have investigations/results or to know what investigations are needed or medicines etc.
I hope you get some answers soon x
