Hi girls, does the pain go after laparoscopy? And what are 1st periods like after the operation?

I have a 10 cm cyst on my left ovary and endo everywhere around ovary behind uterus.. Not sure what stage yet, just waiting for surgery next week. But I'm very scared of having 1st period afterwards. Thanks for any info you have xxx

Hi I've just had my first period after lap and radical removal and it has been fine!! Hope it's the same for you, good luck with your surgery and make sure you give yourself enough recovery time x

Oh, After reading Karen71's comment, I am afraid to tell you my experiences. :( Well, you need to know all angles, and remember you could be very lucky. It took 4 periods after my surgery to finally stop hurting as badly as they had (and that was only because I went on the depo shot by then). I actually had to call off work each month (something I rarely ever did) because the pain couldn't be erased with just a bunch of ibuprofen. I wish nothing but the best for you.
