Article in Daily Mail online about using thyme oil rather than ibuprofen for period pain. I no longer have periods but it might be of interest to some of you ladies. I have no idea how to add a link though!
Thyme oil: Article in Daily Mail online... - Endometriosis UK
Thyme oil
Thanks Dillweed.
I use several essential oils mixed with calendula oil around the time of my period. All the oils including the calendula were recommended on a site for period pain and endo. I just massage into my lower abdomen and I also use them in the bath. Thyme isn't one of them but I will definitely get some now. I use eucalyptus radiata, lavender, clary sage, frankincense, sweet basil, geranium and grapefruit. I use the last two in oil burners if I'm feeling a bit wobbly and the smell calms me a lot. Even if you don't get periods I would think that these oils would help with any pain but also soothe you with their therapuetic effects.

P.S. Did the firemen arrive?!
