had a laproscopy for endo in jan and am just going through 3rd period since the op. The pain is back! Is this normal, what to do next? :(

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that your having the pain again. I've only had mine removed in March and I haven't had a period yet. Although I was told my first period after lap will be painful.

Are u are to contact the hospital and arrange a appointment to see your consultant? To discuss your symptoms?

I don't know if it's normal, but I had my lap in January as well, and that very next period, I called off work, and was saying very unkind things about my ob-gyn while I was curled up in my bed waiting for the pain pills to kick in. I had horrific 2nd month pain, and now am actually dreading my next period. I have yet to have a period of where the pain was lower then a 7 on the pain scale since my surgery.

Apparently this is normal although the doctors don't tell you that after the lap. I had mine last February and by April the pain with periods was so bad I was taken to hospital in an ambulance . This just meAns your endo has grown back or there are more adhesions left over from your lap. Sorry to hear this didn't work for you I know how disheartening this can feel. Hopefully your pain eases soon as mine did get gradual!y less over the months after
