I'm experiencing extremely awful leg pain in my right leg it's in the upper part in the front of my thigh and at the sides of my legs and my hips are so achey
Has anybody experienced this with endometriosis and also after a lap to remove the endo?

If it was very recent you could have developed a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) which needs URGENTLY checking at your nearest hospital.
One of the ladies on the forum had a suspected DVT just a few days ago, and a few days after her lap op.
It is vital you get to A&E as soon as you can and have it looked at. it can be life threatening if you delay seeking help and it is a DVT.
If the lap op was some time ago and you have no reason to think this is a DVT - then it may be caused by damage or irritation to the sciatic nerve causing sciatica. which is not an illness in itself it just describes the pains caused when something anything is irritating the sciatic nerve. Could be a cyst, scar tissue, endo, infection, trapped nerves - all sorts of reasons to develop sciatica which need investigating.
I've had constant leg pain just as you describe but I have adenomyosis. I know my own was linked to this as as soon as I started Zoldex injections the leg pain went. I used to find a really hot hot water bottle of heat pads were helpful at relieving some of the pain when pain killers alone didn't work. Take care, Emma
I had exactly the same as you in my left leg, found it too painful to drive, it was the endometriosis. I've had the lap like you, mine was 2 weeks ago, and yes I do have aches and pains still, my hips really ache like you as we'll as my legs, I'm pretty sure it's not DVT, just all part of the procedure, and healing process, although I'm pretty sure we'll never be pain free, once you've got endo, it's got you, unfortunately we're stuck with it for life.
Hi I have a leg issue too, I had my first op in 2003 and when I came round I couldn't use my left leg at all, over the weeks I managed to get it working and learnt to walk again. I've had every test under the sun all negative but it's been suggested it's endo related.
Thank you all for your replies so helpful and interesting
I had my lap 3 weeks ago this coming Thursday... I always got leg pains radiating from my hip and stomach and back about a week before my pill pack ended and my monthly would start...
I have been advised until I see my surgeon again to take my pill packets back to back to try and control the endo- and iv just started a new packet last night so I should be due on in a few days ect but I won't be coming on.
I think this maybe the cause of leg pain but before my op I never really thought that I could be anything to do with endo as I didn't know I had it- I think you're right it is just another unwanted gift from this condition! Il see how it goes- so very painful though I can only describe it as mega growing pains and as though my leg has been ran over!
I get this all the time in my top left thigh and hips, its like a really sore ache as opposed to cramping and sharp pains. Does this sound the same? I am still waiting for my first lap x
I get pains in my left hip and thigh, sometimes down to my knee and sometimes with sciatica symptoms in my foot. I've always thought that the endo is putting pressure on the sciatic nerve, or one of the other ones that runs through the pelvis and that this is what causes the problem. It is definitely worse just before, just after and when I am on my period. I've had one lap too with endo removed and still get this.
My most severe endo pain was on my right side from my hip down into my groin and into my upper thigh. It almost mimicked appendicitic. Fortunately for me, I have been put on a fairly new medication that has only been available here in Canada for 2 years. It's called Visanne and it has almost completely taken my endo pain away in about 2 months. Hopefully my problem is solved and I wish the best for you.
I ended up going to my A&E department last weekend on the saturday night after being in pain all day on saturday...
Worried I may have a DVT because i had all the main sysmptoms and didnt feel well at all- I had the D-dimmer test with my blood and it came back at a normal 0.32 on my bloods they told me i hadnt rested enough after my laparoscopy and to rest abit more because it was either that or a trapped nerve and thankfully no DVT!!! if you ever get serious leg pain in the lower calf or in your chest ect then please go to your A&E department as soon as you can - i got a telling off because i left it a while and to be in pain before i went - and if it was a dvt it could have been fatal leaving it!
But me and my mum literally clapped with happiness and relief on the way home from the hospital!! did not want a DVT at all.
So I have kept my daily activity steady and been at work not pushing myself to hard and the leg pain is slowly going! it was deffinatley different to the pain in your legs from endo! as i get that too monthly
