I need your help ladies.

Hello.

Can you ladies help me?

I had a suspected leaking or ruptured chocolate cyst, earlier this month. The severe pain that sent me to the hospital in an ambulance, has thankfully gone. I was given intravenous antibiotics and strong pain medicines and spent three nights in hospital.

I am still getting a burning pain over my right ovary which seems to be worse when I lift my right leg up. These pains are intermittent.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

I have an urgent appointment with my specialist on the 6th March,

Lots of love.

I remember when my cyst burst/ruptured I was still in pain on and off for some time, I'm now paranoid it will happen again, that burst late December had lap in the feb, I had a lot of discomfort between that period of time. Xx

Hello Sheri.

Did you experience burning pain that was worse when you lifted your leg?

How are you?

Hi Barbara,

Sorry to hear about this unusual symptom.

Over the past few years I've had a lot of trouble with my lower right abdominal area. Recently discovered a cyst on each ovary. I have also had pain in my right piriformus and going down the front of the thigh. It happened of its own accord and not as a result of lifting my leg. It would often be triggered by my period. The pain was burning. An osteopath helped sort this out but I'm sure it had something to do with the cyst on the ovary. If your pain is down the back of the leg then I suppose that might indicate the sciatic nerve.

Hope 6th March comes around quickly and you get this sorted out. x

Thank you Brownlow.

The pain isn't in my leg. But when I lift my leg up, the pain over my ovary gets worse.

I am puzzled, I thought things were calming down, but it's definitely been worse since lunch time.

How are you?

Didn't read your question properly! It is puzzling. Sorry I have no explanation. Hopefully someone might be able to give you more info. It's not pleasant having to wait so long even though it is classified as an 'emergency' appointment.

I'm doing ok, thanks for asking. I'm fortunate in that my pain is mostly confined to the week when I get my period. Currently waiting to see if some interventions have had any effect.

Hope you get some sort of resolution soon. x

Sounds very similar to what I experienced last December, except on left side.I nmy case I think my usual follicular cyst had burst 2 weeks prior to being taken to hospital with severe pain and kidney infection. It happens every time I come off hormonal treatments. What I found was that I couldn't put my left foot on ground,as a pain would seem to shoot both up and down my left side.I was having difficulty lifting leg to go upstairs( on crutches in house) as this seemed to bump the cyst and send pains shooting through .I think this is a neuropathic pain, suggestive of pressure on nerves. The cyst has disappeared since went back on Depo but I still have the burning, shooting pain.Could your cyst have ruptured again?Or maybe it is filling up again. They can fill up in space of a month?

Glad you have an emergency appointment, so hopefully they will scan you and see what is happening.I had appointment today with a general surgeon,as for some reason hospital referred me to him rather than to my gynae.I have to have CT scan to see what going on with my bowel as think it has penetrated .I am also awaiting emergency gynae appointment and am praying for one earlier than my 31st July appointment. In such a lot of p[ain I am barely ableto get out of bed and Gp not willing to give me pethidene,in case I get addicted.

Sending you big hugs Barbara xx

When pressing on your left ovary - does it hurt your right? And pressing on your right it hurts only your right; but twinges your left? (That probably doesnt make sense) - lol.

Do you ever feel a loss of feeling in your legs?

If so I get that, my guess would be the cists, or infection - luckly mine have never burst.(what size do they normally)

Hope you feel well soon. Fingers crossed for march.
