I had the mirena coil fitted a few years ago and then had it removed for one reason and another. I am having another one fitted in a few weeks and would like some recommendations for pain killers when having it done. I've been told to stop taking my pill 2 days prior to having it fitted but i'm worried that i'll be starting to get period pain then. Does anyone think that mefanemic acid would be ok to take before, rather than the advised ibuprofen?
