Hi i had my lap op done on the 1st July and i am still in loads of pain, been to the GP about it and been told it will take a while for my body to recover everybody recovers differently. I am still on painkillers and find it extremely hard to stay out of bed for the day cause of the pains and fatigue. If you are really concerned please do just go to your GP better to go and put your mind at ease xx

I had this after my most recent (3rd lap) It usually happened when I was getting up from or sitting down on the bed, getting in and out of the car or during urinating, but would happen at other times too.
As you say, it takes your breath away and they would go on for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. I too was told that this was normal considering the extent of the surgery. It took about three months before they stopped.
It's a bit of a shock, isn't it? I hadn't experienced anything like this with my first 2 laps, and indeed expected to feel much better after two or three weeks, but that didn't happen the third time.
Hope you heal quickly, do take it easy and don't push yourself too hard

i had my lap a month ago and is back at work now and struggling in pain. I thought one month would be enough. I can see most of you said the pain should go after 3months.. i really do hope so.
