I had exactly the same, was on the edge of vomiting for a whole week. Apparently its the anaesthetic leaving your body x

I think it's the anaesthetic, it normally takes around a week for the nausea and dizziness to settle.

For me the dizziness was also a sign I was doing too much and needed to rest. I found having a nap and sucking on polos helped me but some people find fizzy drinks also help (I found it made me feel worse). I also found peppermint tea and chamomile tea made me feel better. I felt rough for the first 10 days and then started to slowly feel better. Everyone's different, hopefully you can find something that helps.

I hope you feel better soon.

Xx

I was the same for a week and I couldn’t leave my hospital bed for the first 24 hours I was so dizzy and nauseous. Lie down with your eyes closed and listen to podcasts for as many days as you need. It can take a while for the anesthetic to wear off, even if some people spring straight back up.

It's totally normal, I couldn't keep anything down in the hospital and the nurses were forcing me to drink loads of water as I was finding it difficult to pass urine. But I just kept vomiting. They gave me anti sickness which I took for a few days and that helped. It also helped to eat light food, fruit etc. I don't think I ate very much for about a week after my lap. It was quite complex surgery so it took much longer to recover than my first lap, which was just diagnostic and I felt better in terms of nausea within a day or two. Hope you feel better soon, recovery is not the nicest thing. X X X
