This morning, I had to have a snack before breakfast. My blood sugars were 102 mg/dl and 90-110-> on the receiver. It was really interesting since the number was 230 mg/dl when I went to sleep. This is good, but surprising.

The sensor was acting up during and after breakfast today. It also had a few alarms on and off with sensor error. This happened 3-4 times and then I changed sensors this afternoon. So far, so good with the new sensor after the warm up period ended.

Right now, my number is 212-> after a few hours of eating lunch. Pretty good. I had 47 carbs..

You're really on top of your blood sugar numbers Leah, and glad they have been OK. How often, aside from when you've had faulty ones, do you have to change your Dexcom sensor? And how long is the 'warm up' period when you've just changed one?

Thank you, Sue! I usually have to wait for 10 days to change a sensor unless it has issues.

I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow late afternoon and I will have to talk to the doctor about the results of the blood work that has been done. The result of A1c doesn’t match up with the apps that I use for the DEXCOM/CLARITY system.

How high/low are you asking about before 100 mg/dl? If it's at 100 and it's snack time before bed, I eat my snack with a bigger protein snack bar. If it's 200+ I then have a 20 gram protein bar and my Greek yogurt before going to sleep for the night. During the day, I normally will have a snack either with protein in it or a little carbs. depending on the numbers and time of day.

The blood sugars drop too fast and I don't feel the lows. This is a 'cushion' so I don't need the Glucagon Emergency Kit-- even with a CGM.

Even if I changed my dose of insulin, sometimes the numbers drop. When I was at a job when I was a teenager, I started at a low 200 and it went down to 33 mg/dl. No symptoms and I was walking around the entire time. My friend had to go to the Nurse's medicine cart and get me a small cup of orange juice to help raise my blood sugar after I was done testing myself at the time.
