This last week a geriatric nurse gave my sister the name of Heberprot-p as a substance/drug that is used for wound healing and that is important in the treatment of Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFU).

Does anyone here have any information about this medication? There is information about it online but I am trying to find a place where treatment is available. My 91 year old mother may have to have her foot or leg amputated if her big toe does not heal soon. Apparently Heberprot-p is a drug that has been used for this purpose (DFU) with great success. It is being used in Cuba where it originated but it is not available for use in the USA.

I appreciate any information you can give me.

Hello Kecher , here's about Herberpot-p which I believe is available in Canada.

For diabetic wounds in the feet, its advisable to use FROXİMUN powder, which is very effective, best regards
