Has your husband's doctor suggested what would be appropriate for keeping the blood sugars in the pre-Diabetes range? Did he get any suggestions snacks/meals?

I recommend "Delicious Dishes for Diabetics" by Robin Ellis. It's based on the Mediterranean Diet that is also recommended by the BHF. You may remember Robin's name - he was the original Ross Poldark.

I was diagnosed Type 2 diabetic in 2016 and I have stayed in non diabetic HBA1c scores since October 2016 by eating low carb and high fat with no medication. My brother was diagnosed pre diabetic last year he has dropped his carb intake snd is no longer pre diabetic. Growing understanding of this way of eating. I would start by reading Dr Fung’s Diabetes Code and checking out a website like diabetes.co.uk/diet/low-car... for what to eat and dietdoctor.com/low-carb Take it gently and if your husband agrees it is by far the best way and sustainable to cope with insulin issues in my opinion and many others including a growing number of doctors.

No need to worry, just REDUCE sugars & carbs mainly. Add fresh vegetable salads before regular meals, moderate daily exercise. More diet tips on diabetes Qld diabetesqld.org.au/type-2-d...

I would recommend Diabetes UK. I have always found them to be particularly helpful.
