While I was working today, my senior from Tuesday afternoon failed at 2 pm. I had called for a free new sensor to be sent to me. This shouldn’t happen. It’s good to have an understanding boss ( she let me use the desk phone to call for the new sensor). The only good thing about this happening was I can always replace the sensors on Friday afternoon after working from now on (again). Really stressing!
The new sensor is going to be coming late next week.

And so the saga continues for you Leah. 😕. I have too say I think you are very forgiving.... I wouldn’t be, but there again I don’t know if you have any choice other than to be forgiving....
I've been investigating getting a CGM and have looked at the DEXCOM. It looks good but is very expensive. The NHS won't fund it for me and I cannot afford to self fund because I'm unable to work because of ill health reasons. However, one of the positive aspects of the DEXCOM is that the sensors are guaranteed for 11 days use, it's just a pity that the system is so expensive at £159.00 per month.
The system is (depending on which one you get) lasts for 7-10 days each sensor. Mine right now is the G4, so that goes hopefully for 7 days with no issues. When I get moved up, then I can get the ones that last past the 7 day mark. Will have to see what happens later this year.
The DEXCOM I've been looking at is the DEXCOM G6. I've just checked a video clip about it on YouTube and the sensor can be worn for up to 10 days so, 3 sensors can last a whole month. It looks good it's just a shame about the price.
