Good Morning,
I am diabetic type 2 through my genes.. Once I got gold of this concept, My BMI is 28, but as an ex front row prop I have never taken the BMI seriously. I have with some success used machines to bring my BMI down.
1) I bought some scales which communicate with my smart phone. I weigh myself every morning after ablutions and before getting dressed. This tells me what kind of feeding day I can have.
2) I started using an app called "lose it" on my iPhone, supported by my watch. (Apple). This app seems to have a massive database of foods and their calorific value.
you tell it what your target BMI is and all the other information required, age, (the nasty word) weight etc and the app calculated what your daily intake should be to achieve your target.
The neat thing about the app is that it shows your allowed calories on your watch as a running target. each time that you update your eats, the balance is shown on the watch. It also gives credit for exercise, This is generous but if you do a 2 mile walk your calories balance is increased.
Kind regards,
Stephen
