Wow! What a way to wake up in the very early morning hours! Today, at 4:40 am USA time, my DEXCOM started alarming and woke me up. When I got up, I was in the low to mid-70's! For me, that isn't good since I had gone to bed around 11 pm being 240-250 on the DEXCOM. It's very hard to believe that I could drop that much while sleeping, but I chalk it up to the pancreas had "woken up". It's not the first time this type of thing has happened. I can sometimes go for a few days with unexplained numbers being lower than normal and then, the pancreas can "go back to sleep" for another few days or weeks at a time. Bad part, you never know when it's going to wake up or go back to sleep. It's another good reason to have the DEXCOM.

UU, mi DEXCOM comenzó alarmante y me despertó. ¡Cuando desperté, estaba en el nivel más bajo a mediados de los años 70! When I had first started typing this posting, the DEXCOM's receiver had NOT been reporting any numbers since dinner started tonight. The numbers just came back, now and I was able to do a calibration a few minutes ago (I had to take a mini break from typing!). I'm hoping to get a few good days out of this sensor that was just put in on Tuesday evening. I was so close to having to pick up the phone and calling DEXCOM for another new free sensor. The one that's been ordered for free is coming next Tuesday before the end of the day. This is what I had been told by e-mail from FedEx. We'll see what time it does show up. I hope it comes after I get back from work so the box can be brought inside and not have the sensor get cold. The temperature can cause issues for the sensors sometimes.
Cuando había comenzado primero a escribir a máquina esta fijación, el receptor del DEXCOM no había estado relatando ningún número ya que la comida comenzó esta noche. Speaking of the DEXCOM, I'm working really hard on getting ready for the lecture that's going to be taking place at my Senior Center on October 18th-- a Tuesday. A Represenative from the Silver Spring, MD location for DEXCOM will be coming that day to talk with the Seniors about the system and how they can get their own. The lecture is at 11 am and I'm going to be actually part of the lecture. I still have to put the last finishing touches on a few things for that day, but everything is basically ready and finished! The lecture will be taking place on the second floor and in the Social Hall A room. This is better instead of the Lounge area because there will also be food brought in for the rest of the group. I'll try to get someone to help me with the translation. Will let you know how things go when I can.
Hablando del DEXCOM, trabajo realmente con fuerza en la preparación para la conferencia esto va a ocurrir en mi Centro Mayor el 18 de octubre - un martes. Un Represenative a partir de la Primavera de Plata, la ubicación de Maryland para DEXCOM vendrá ese día para hablar con los Mayores del sistema y cómo pueden conseguir su propio.
