Dinner and the DEXCOM (Comida y el DEXCOM)

After dinner two nights ago, I had eaten a big salad with lots of fruit and protein mixed in. The salad had more carbs. (80) than I probably should have had, but after about half an hour and/or more, my numbers started dropping on the DEXCOM and on the Breeze2 monitor. This made no sense to me. I've had big salads before and they would make my numbers go into the 300 range. I even had a small cookie for afterwards (my parents thought the salad wasn't enough). I tested myself around 8:15 pm and it turned out that I had dropped down to about 97 on the Breeze2 (116 with an arrow going sideways). The dropping kept going for a while and I had ended up having lots of snacks before bed along with my shot and other medications for the night. Surprisingly, my morning number when I woke up the next morning wasn't that bad. It was in a 'normal' range, but not in the 100s.

Last night, I had gone out to dinner with my parents and had another salad. We did some shopping afterwards. I didn't do a shot because it's so hot out here. I kept looking at the DEXCOM and saw that the numbers were climbing up just slightly. Didn't go extremely high, but could've if I hadn't done the calibration right when it was time. After the calibration was taken care of, the numbers started going back down before I had gone to bed for the night. Odd thing is, that salad also had some fruit in it, as well.

Well, this is all for right now. More to come later. Keep on reading!

Bien, esto es todo para ahora mismo. Más venir más tarde. ¡Siga leyendo!

A Keto meal of a meat, fish and dry seasoning and salad like you had keeps level at night or I even drop. Too many carbs. before has me doing waves all over the place and I think the long acting has worn off. Would like to know what others think. I take mine at noon to prevent severe lows at night.
