Odd Conditions with Sensor: DEXCOM (Condiciones raras con sensor: DEXCOM)

Earlier today, I had gone to the Wheaton Public Library in Montgomery County, MD. this morning with my Nephew. While at the library, he had been playing with the blocks and some of the other children they had for this group that he has been signed up for every Tuesday. During the playing, I had noticed that my number on the DEXCOM seemed a little lower than it usually has been at that perticular time of day (close to 10:30 am). I did a quick test to see if the DEXCOM was working correctly and it had been, but kept going a little crazy through out the rest of the day.

When I had gotten back to my Nephew's house (I'm off from work from Monday through Wednesday this week) from the library, I had checked the DEXCOM and it was doing okay, but still was acting oddly. In the afternoon, I did a test, again and the DEXCOM thought I was 167 and the arrow was straight down. My number on my Breeze2 monitor said I was 215, but I couldn't calibrate the DEXCOM because of the way the arrow was going.

Before leaving my Nephew's house to go home and get ready for dinner, the DEXCOM kept having issues with the numbers and arrows NOT being on the receiver. It would have numbers for a certain amount of time and then go away, again for 15 minutes to almost a 1 hour period. I'm going to change the sensor on Thursday unless it fails on Wednesday at some point during the day or evening. If either happens, I'm going to let you know when I have a free minute (I'm babysitting tomorrow at my place).

It's Wed.. What happened? Did the sensor straighten out or did you have to change it today? Could you do a calibration at night before bed or did the absent numbers appear long enough for you to do that? How is today going? Hope it was just adjusting to your system and will settle down. Best wishes.

I did a calibration, but it was after the time it should have been done. Not at 12 midnight, but later in the evening before bedtime.

Still acting iffy, but did test twice before lunch time today. Once at the Quince Orchard Library and once before eating lunch. Hopefully, the sensor can last for tomorrow evening to be changed around 7:30 pm USA time.
