Week #59 Update: DEXCOM (Actualización núm. 59 de la semana: DEXCOM)

Okay, so tomorrow is my last day using the sensor that I had inserted last Saturday. It has been very odd this week with the sensor I have been using. It started acting up since yesterday afternoon and parts of today while I was at work.

When I had gotten to the Senior Center this morning, my blood sugar reading on the DEXCOM said I was 115, but there wasn't an arrow present at the time. When I got to my desk area, I tested myself and it turned out that I needed a very early morning snack. The number on my Breeze2 monitor said I was 148 (I can drop very fast if no snack is eaten). I've never had a snack that early at a job before, but I'm lucky my boss understood when she saw what was going on at the time.

Since most of my work is done on the 2nd floor at the Senior Center, I had to get back upstairs before I could do a test since I was in the Computer Lab checking to see who was in the Lab at the time (I take attendance of each person who is a Senior and keep a record so we can say how many people use the center on a daily basis).

As for the DEXCOM, when I got back upstairs and was eating my snack, the numbers on the receiver went away for a few hours and then came back around 11:45 am. The arrows weren't there, but they came back after a while when I was trying to take care of a few things in the xerox room. Odd how that can happen sometimes.

Well, as I had said before, tomorrow is the change out day and I need to put in a new sensor. I may actually do it earlier than I should since I have to go to a bar-b-que and can't put the new sensor in while at the event. I'll have to let you know what ends up happening when I can.

Have a good night and I'll check back in soon. Keep on reading!

¡Siga leyendo!
