So, it's Christmas today and I'm home for the next few days coming up. This is my posting to try and catch you up on what has been going on with the DEXCOM for the last two weeks, or so. I'm hoping this will be typed completely before heading downstairs for lunch today.

For the 24th week, the DEXCOM's sensor wasn't too bad at working. It lasted for a good part of its "life". Not too much to complain about.

Starting the 25th week now and not any excitement so far. The only thing I can think of right now is, last night, after dinner out with my parents, my numbers were extremely high and the DEXCOM somehow got back to normal by the time I ended up needing to go to bed. It seemed like the DEXCOM had recalibrated itself without me telling it to. Never thought this would be something new and noteworthy! Wish it could do that each time, but I know it won't.

Well, this is all the news so far about the DEXCOM. Hope to hear from you all soon. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Keep on reading!

Siga leyendo!

Hello Activity

How do you feel looking back since your start with the DEXCOM and all that you have been through. Is it working right for you and doing the job or are you generally accepting its limitations and how it is affecting your life. Was it the right choice for you and finally, do you look forward to changes that you may have an influence on that would make it better for other users in the future. They have a stake in you, but you also have a stake in them - If you see what I mean. Do you feel your log has been effective both for you and other users? You have been very generous in sharing your experiences and I would imagine this has helped you immensely. Looking forward to hearing from you and keep up the good work. Happy New Year to you.

Thank you so much for the note. I plan to do a new posting about the DEXCOM either today or later tomorrow.

To answer your first question, yes I think it's helped me. About 5 or 6 times I have been woken up out of a sound sleep because my blood sugars had been dropping or did drop to 80 and below. If I hadn't gotten the DEXCOM, I probably wouldn't have known I needed something during the night to raise the numbers slightly.

Once in a while, the DEXCOM seems to be "confused" about which way the numbers and arrows should be going, but eventually, it works themselves out and I either have to recalibrate, or it fixes itself for me. Besides that, I would definitely say that it's helped me a lot. I've had to change some of the foods and how much here and there, but that's not a bad thing.

I'm hoping my blog for the DEXCOM is helping everyone. This is the first time I've written about a medical device, so I wasn't sure what was going to happen in the beginning. I have another blog, but that's just used for my knitting business.

Happy New Year to you, too!

Super - I thought you would see yourself and your services in a different light especially with the time that has gone by. You are now closer to an expert than you can imagine and perhaps to other users, legendary. That is a good thing - in fact that is a great thing. Keep up the good work and the ability to motivate others. Though I am a type 2, I am always fascinated to recognise other motivators. Keep doing what you are doing. Best wishes for a prosperous New Year.
