A new study into the effects of shift work has found that people working irregular hours could be more likely to develop type 2 diabetes.

The report by the Health and Social Care Information Centre found that ill health and obesity were common among those working outside of the hours 7am to 7pm.

Current figures suggest that 33% of men and 22% of women are in shift work, and the report findings suggest this could have an effect on the nation’s health. drwf.org.uk/news_uk/shift-w...

Worked 2 days and two nights on and fours days off in my twenties and in the early sixties for few years.

It is the eating pattern and food control causes most problems. End of eating six or seven meals during the four days on period! The photo give an office environment. In today's shift working environment there are multiple screens, 2 or 4 or 6!!!

The photo gives and office worker working more than a 12-hour day.

Food intake control and regular exercise are necessary.
