It is good that you are keeping your diabetes under control by diet control and exercise. this is the only way to control it. However I suggest that you do not omit any meal and take smaller meals divided into six parts 3 major and 3 minor total constituting nearly 1800 calories

My personel expearence. You are right Dear Rakesh,, the fact is people read more, and also get advised from all qualified or unqualified Drs,but do not follow their advise or right course of directions. My emphesis is on those effected persons to take timely care. There is no dearth of knowledge on the subject, then why this Diadete is not under controll. only one factor that I feel is, we keep waiting for ill effect to occure then react. .

I would like to share my experience. I am a known diabetic since last 25 years.I had family history since my mother was severe diabetic, hypertensive and heart patient who die at the age pf 59 years about 21 years ago. I was a smoker also at that time and also took tobacco and gutka. I left smoking and tobacco/ Gutka since last 25 years. Initially when it was detected my BSPP was 292. However on Doctors suggestion and my own will power I regulated my diet and started morning walk which I increased to 6-7 Km per day. Within 15 days my BS Fasting was 90 and PP 120. Thereafter even after some food relaxation I could manage the diabetes without medicines for nearly 12 years. Perhaps due to work tensions, busy schedule and heredity factors, inspite of continuing with the diet control, regular exercise and regular medication, the diabetes is being managed with much more medicines but still I can say my Diabetes is well controlled as my last BSFasting was 123 though PP was higher at 193. I would say that I take protein rich with lesser complex carbohydrate in diet and have regular walk. I regularly take lots of vegetables and salad and a number of fruits. Snacking is mostly on either nuts or fruits.

My expearence---- This subject of diabetes become a talk of town, more the people effected ,more the remedies and new meathed for control of diabetes are being published. One thing is very sure that your proper diet and morning walk/exercersize is a must to control it.But in case your problem has agrevated then consuling the Dr is a must before one gets in to hit and trial methods. one has to careful about food part.

While we discuss on any subject we are conservative to open up, we are more concerned on showing off then narrate the facts which are true and real one. Once adiabatic you are patient , you can control but remain adiabatic. So prevention is better then cure. i am of the opinion those who are beyond control should follow Dr,s advise and one who can manage do so but Dr,s advise is a must. Talking all bull and shit stories.are of no use. They are like help and not as remedies of expert advise.it has become a routine by so many to comment on thee subject.I am sorry if hurting some bodies feelings,

I agree with your observation @sharmacolra. All kinds of miracle cures that are suggested by persons based on their own experiences do not work. Diabetes according to me is a condition where the body is speaking to you and telling you that you are leading a life that is not healthy - change it so that you can have a better quality of life. That is why I strongly believe that everyone has to work out a cure \ way of life for himself \ herself based on their pattern of life and yes, with medical support. I test my values on a regular basis and adjust my life - I mean the food that I eat and the amount of walking that I do, to get the optimum results and keep diabetes under check. On a philosophical plane - we are here because we have a body. And it is our duty to look after it and nurture it so that we can live in a healthy and comfortable manner. Stretch your body by over exercise or by over eating or giving it what it does not want and you are buying trouble.
