Myself shivender my age is about 46 . I have diabetes from about 3 years . I am taking tablets from 3 years in the starting my vlood glucose level us remain between 200.. but from about 1year ir became 280... i have suffered alot because of it and now doctor prescribed me insulin... is it better option to opted for it...

If the doctor has suggested it,you can go for it.Oral medication may work if the sugar levels are relatively lower but in the long run they may not be that effective and you may also face side effects.Insulin ,on the other hand do not have side effects if you follow instructions correctly.Once you are on insulin,you should be prompt in timely food habits so that the risk of hypoglycemia is ruled out.
