hi, shishir kamath congratulation please detail vegan diet ,be cautious about HbA1c as opined by learned members shrisamarth & nittoo by the way how long BS levels were normal? as to HbA1c the normal range differ Lab to Lab however as per Thyrocare Lab it is good control but members of forum 's opinion is 5.5 or less then it is recommended .

Hello,I am on this vegan diet for last 3 months, these results are from Thyrocare lab,My diet is just vegetarian(no animal produce) you have to quit milk an any forms like tea coffee, ghee dahi etc, breakfast, lunch dinner consists of low GI grains, salads.fruits are restricted to apples, pears and citrus fruits.this diet is from Neil Barnard book,as far as exercise is concerned,i take a morning walk of 5 Km daily with some breathing exercise.
I was off medication within 15 days of this diet regime, the true results of this diet will be seen after 6 months, just did a sample test to see if i was going in a right direction and feel very satisfied.
