It is indeed a tough situation for you. But,with thorough knowledge about diabetes, what triggers it and and the likely complications if it is not managed properly will help you to manage it effectively. .To begin with, your doctor must have prescribed insulin for a valid reason.Accept it as fact of life and thereby keep a calm mind.Getting disgusted with it will only worsen the situation.Your immediate goal should be to attain better numbers and get the dosages reduced.Agreed that night shift duty is rather disruptive for a diabetic, but you have to live with it. You can review and introspect to find ways and means of scheduling adequate levels of physical activity within your job profile. You alone can find a solution.Lastly, but most importantly, diet plays a decisive role in diabetes management.Search on the net to know about glycemic index of various foods. You will come to know which foods to be avoided and which foods to be prefered. You should also be aware of how much you are eating in each meals.Go for smaller meals with healthy snacks in between.Idea is to keep sugar levels down, rather treating higher sugar levels.Diet is the key.
