Mother Hba1c is 6.7

Hello Friends,

My mother is 52 year old. She is diabetic for last 2-3 years. on 17th April her Hba1c is 6.7. However she did not take any medicine and controlling the diabetes just with help of controlled diet and walking. Is it okay to her to take medicine now on wards or just doing control of diet and walking. last week she had a pain in chest and went to hospital. there were several test were conducted her triglyceride was 250. total cholesterol was below the border line. Please suggest if we can go with angeography for any blockage.

Please suggest any good tablet and its power. right now i dont have the name of medicine, which was recommended by the docotor and will update the name of medicine later.

Your mom's triglyceride level is high.

Triglyceride levels are also reduced by moderate exercise and by consuming omega-3 fatty acids from algae, fish, flax seed oil, and other sources.

Check TSH level for hypothyroidism.

Please post your mother's profile and lab reports. Her diet. Tg high means high carb diet.

What was the chest pain due to ? Anginal or muscular?
