Yes karch

coccinica indica/curcuma amada /and Allium sativa are working like wonder....

Also cinnamon and jambul sirka.

I am thinking of discontinuing metformin ...right now taking 500MG X 2 dose

karch in reply tocure

Good that you explained ... :) ...thanks ...

Dont be in a hurry ...M/f is not that bad ....wait for A/C to come down till 5.0 ...till then may be CoQ10 and all give some better results ...one by one everything will on track ...why not focussing on Yoga/ meditate/acupressure at this point more if possible (I know you have traveling job ...so its tough )...it does not have any side effect if taken in big dosages too :) and only a small portion of H1AC improvement is left to achieve

BTW the starting lines look like a movie is going to start

"Jai ho @Anup Bhaiyya ki....

Jai ho LCHF ki....

Jai ho ShooterGeorge ki

Jai Ho Long wheat ki....."

Thats funny :D

Hi, @cure. I am very interested in in the improvement of your NAFLD. I have that too, and since March I have been on LCHF diet, with good results all round. But I don't know if I will be able to get a test for NAFLD to see if it too has improved. I'm quite concerned about it, and I suppose I should tell my gp of my worry. I do know that the gamma gt level has been high for a couple of years, with the last reading (May 2016) being the highest. (254) I've been trying to convince myself that it is caused by my meds, but I'm still very uneasy. As I said, all other results are well within normal limits, with HbA1c now down to 6.4 from 7.6. I am due for another blood test soon. We shall see how things have progressed then. Has anyone got any words of encouragement?

Hi cure,

Can you please write your daily diet chart.

But half the credit goes to Ayurveda and not total credit can be given to LCHF as per CURE .

But half the credit goes to Lchf . So how can he stop.

in reply to

Here the issue is relief from the problem . There need not be any ego.

in reply to

He didn't say that but the meaning is implied. oome on , come out of the illusion and feeling of glory.

Science never gives illogical arguments . They are taking all the information from all the sources . The very fact that so many researches are taking place everyday about all herbs and plants and their efficacy in dealing with health problems proves that.

in reply to

You are not falling for science .You are gloating with self satisfaction .

Any like minded person reacts the way I reacted .

total unscientific approach .

I have nothing against ayurveda, but have you ever come across a diabetic who brought down his HBA1c by ~3.5 with these ayurvedic herbs alone? Genuine question.

cure gave jaikaram to Lchf , to Shooter george, and many times referred to the Ayurvedic herbs and their efficacy also .Thus it is a cumulative effort .But Lchf , has been profusely praised by him .After going through all his posts , I gave my opinion . But what is wrong in that .Lchf should also be broadminded enough to give the due credit to other diets and methods .

alwaysoptimistic profile image

jingale profile image
jingale in reply to

cure brought down his a1c by ~7. According to your interpretation 50% credit goes to the herbs. 50% of 7 is 3.5. Hence I asked you if you know of anyone who brought down his/her a1c with these herbs alone.

in reply tojingale

All the people who got rid of diabetes by herbs and other diets were laughed out .

My question was specifically about these ayurvedic herbs. Please share some instances where people have drastically reduced their HBA1C with herbs alone. I don't really care about the "laughed at" part.

in reply tojingale

was it mentioned any where that hrbs alone did the work . It was specifically given that along with LCHF and lwmdr, herbs also did the trick .

A few cases who used exclusively Ayurveda never bother to come to these forums , to argue with fanatics .

jingale in reply to

Good for them.

Please let us know the herbs they consumed, and the decrease in HBa1c.

I asked you to share instances where someone has drastically reduced his/her HBA1C with herbs alone.

Where is the question of argument? And what has my query got to do with LCHF?

Dear all....

Sorry for late reply as I am on tour....

But really speaking all credit goes to two fellows....

Shooter George and and ofcoz this forum.

And all you my friends.

This forum changed my mindset.and I started my fight.

Let me tell u diabetes is known to ayurveda for last 5000 years.

But as far as my little knowledge abou t scriptures no sure shot herb or preparation is given as cure in ayurveda.

Similarly there is no mention of LCHF is given in ayurveda.

However various herbs are mentioned.. And effects of herbs are mentioned.

We have to choose them as per our needs.

My general perception about diabetes changed because of this forum.

Every one here is well read...and got valid points...

It is said 'vade vade jayate tatvabodha.'

Means discussion lead us to truth.

So all fights/discussions which takes place here are very useful. Just we have to be swan.

All those herbs I am using are described in ayurveda.Ijust picked up them as per my requirements . also used long wheat and LCHF to my benefit.

So friends all those fights and discussions helped me to improve my understanding of D.

So thanks to anup shooter George and all friends from HU

I guess .....I am not medical professional.... But with little understanding.. At very beginning stage ....means before starting....diabetes medicines...if we strive hard...we can bring down our IR by using herbs and LCHF.

Deathof beta cells may occur after some time if u continue on medicines like diamicron.

So checking fasting insuline... And fatty liver should be done .

I am really surprised... Why doctors are not doing so regularly to rule out this cause?

Hmmmm totally lost faith on medical community.

Anyway...jingle...Goa is really nice...and celebrating ashadh party....full fish...

Thanks to you and all others here.

cure profile image
cureAdministrator in reply tosuramo

suramo

I really don't know How it works....just guessing....

hmmm one possibility.....as you think..diabetes is due to weak genes....or malfunction in same.... long wheat got some antioxidants which corrects those expressions of genes??

Look at genetic make up of long wheat and common wheat....there is vast difference....

Other possibility....Ayurveda says...any metabolic syndrome is due to imbalance between Kafa vata and pitta.

There is no mention of long wheat....but Ayurveda says about 'Shashtika rice' the rice harvested in 60 days helps you to calm down aggravated Vata.....and most of diabetics are Vata prakruti....who are prone to get Vata doasha disturbance.

May be for them this rice will be helpful.

I really don't know what is truth.....but bajara thing u can try some day....

suramo profile image
suramoStar in reply tocure

we have to find out about long wheat and all kinds of helpful rices instead of shooting in dark.

you may continue with what you are presently doing....

Just add other things like kalounjee and cinnamon fenugreek....I am sure in month or two u will get good results....I think you are taking cinnamon (in spite of ur notion that your BCF is lost)

Without cutting down the carbs and increasing fats ...Ayurveda does not work ...

With Low Carb... herbs come to rescue when we want to further cut down on medicines , after stablizing BS to a safe range ...Low carb gives a way out without herbs too ...I dont use Karela, stevia, giloy, kundaru...just methi, amla, vinegar and LCH_ diet(wheatless ), I was able to cut down 500 mg M/F ...Giving up wheat was a good option to achieve desired BS range ...Noticed freshness all day long , better temper and improvement in other parameters after giving up wheat ...the best thing about LCH_ is community about their knowledge of how can we use different Vitamins/minerals to get rid of side effects and achieve good BS range ...after landing to this community my knowledge of nutrition increased a lot and it helped overall for whole family ...everyone like @cure is so much keen to get more knowledge to get rid of D

DEVELOPMENT OF LOW GLYCAEMIC DICOCCUM WHEAT CHAPATI

The dicoccum wheat flour was replaced with some proportion of functional food

ingredients like methi seed powder, pulse flour in order to make chapati having reduced

glycaemic responses, without affecting the physical and sensory qualities of the end product.

4.1.1 Optimization for the addition of methi seed powder

4.1.1.1 Physical quality characteristics of dicoccum chapati with the addition of methi seed

powder

The chapati flour was modified for the addition of methi seed powder incorporation at

2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 per cent and evaluated for various physical characteristics (Table 1). Results

revealed that the per cent water absorption significantly increased with the increased

proportion of methi seed powder. The per cent water absorption ranged from 70-78 per cent

with maximum in 10 per cent methi seed incorporation. A significant increase was found from

2 per cent and further incorporation. With this, the weight of the dough and weight of the fresh

chapati were also significantly increased which ranged from 83 to 86 g and 65 to 67 g

respectively. In both the parameters, a significant increase was found from 6 per cent and

higher incorporation of methi seed powder. All the three parameters were positively correlated

(r=0.96 between per cent was absorption and weight of the dough, r=0.97 between per cent

water absorption and weight of fresh chapati and r=0.93 between weight of the dough and

weight of fresh chapati) (P<0.01). The swelling power increased with the increase in methi

seed powder, it ranged from 3.41 to 5.36 with maximum swelling power observed in 10 per

cent incorporation of methi seed powder. A significant increase was observed from 4 percent

and above methi incorporated chapati. Whereas the percent solubility decreased with

increased methi seed powder, ranged from 3.60 to 10.46. A significant decrease was

observed from 2 percent and further incorporation of methi seed powder.

4.1.1.2 Rheological quality characteristics of dicoccum chapati made with the addition of

methi seed powder

Table 2, depicts the various rheological properties of methi incorporated noodles. The

creamish brown colour of dicoccum wheat changed to dull cream and further to yellowish as

the increased amount of methi seed powder was incorporated. The dough of control chapati

was medium strong and extensible with soft and smooth texture which was easy to roll.

Incorporation of methi seed powder at 2 percent and 4 percent level also retained the quality

characteristics of dough handling, rolling and baking like the dicoccum chapati. Further

incorporation of 8 percent and 10 percent made the dough less strong, less extensible and

much softer and smooth, and difficult to roll. In the baking stage, the puffing of control chapati

was rapid and full, this character was also observed with the addition of 4 percent methi seed

powder but with 6 percent and 8 percent addition the puffing was though full but gradual with

10 percent substitution puffing was slow and partial. In all the methi incorporated samples

chapati remained soft and smooth after baking like control chapati. The taste of the control

and with 2 per cent incorporation was acceptable, however with 4 per cent and 6 per cent

incorporation a slight bitter after taste of methi was noticed but were acceptable and further

incorporation of 8 per cent and 10 per cent made the methi flavour much dominating and

were not acceptable.

Hence for the further studies 4 and 6 per cent incorporation was selected.

Who told you all this about spirulinea ??

I request you to do more research on this.....

spirulinea contains vit b12 analog. It is said it is not useful in humans....infact the b12 of spirulinea blocks recepter of b12 in himans..which creates problems in absorption of true b12.

read here

b12-vitamin.com/algae/

veganhealthandfitness.com/b...

Further.....growing spirulinea at home in tube.....

Do you know what exact temperature is required to grow spirulinea in tube???

And maintaining PH.....you need to be expert in that...only with lot of expertise you will be able to maintain PH exactly required to grow spirulinea.

The culture medium and tanks need to be protected from contamination by foreign algae, insects and toxicity. Also the level of the pond and amount of nutrients needs to be maintained by regularly replacing the fertilizers and water. Further the temperature and pH need to be maintained. Details on how this is done can be found in the manual. It is useful to replace a small amount of the solution with a completely fresh amount, to prevent deterioration of the culture medium.

Read here....

akvopedia.org/wiki/Spirulin...

This is most difficult part...if you fail to maintain temp. and PH the entire stock will get contaminated....and instead of spirulinea you may be ingesting some toxic algae.

Can We Reverse/Cure Diabetes?

There’s much media hype about reversing or curing diabetes, and patients are confused regarding these terms. However, many practitioners agree that bringing an A1c level down from 8.9% to 4.9% is indeed reversing the disease process.

But is John “free of diabetes”? This is where the lines become blurred. Medically speaking, the term “cure” is usually associated with acute disease—a temporary medical condition, such as bacterial pneumonia, that can be cured with antibiotics. For diabetes, which is a chronic disease, it may be more accurate to use the term “remission” rather than cure. Particularly when considering the pathology associated with diabetes and the individual’s genetic predisposition, relapse is always possible. In a consensus statement issued by the ADA, the term remission is defined based on the following definitions:2

• Partial remission: maintenance of blood glucose below diagnostic levels (a prediabetes state) without diabetes medication for at least one year;

• Complete remission: normal blood glucose without diabetes medication for at least one year; and

• Prolonged remission: complete remission for at least five years.
