any details about its effectiveness in diabetes?

is it technically helpful for diabetes...

Acupressure or acupuncture is utterly useless in anything, let alone diabetes. I say this as there is NO data as to effectiveness whatsoever.

Its a good idea to review the statements before releasing harsh words like "utterly useless" in a public forum ...BTW Acupressure or acupuncture is not useless ...I have tried for Thyroid and different pains ...its very useful for pain in different body parts

Only "anecdotes" are in my family and myself. Have tried it for various pains and ailments with remarkable effects.

Why not try it on your self r any of your family members. That would be the best anecdote to prove efficacy. Thank you.

Just a background :

The lady in the video has a lot of knee pain and it is very tough to walk and bend her knees because of knee pain...you can see how using acupressure resolves her pain in some minutes ....

i agree with you. Su-Jok therapy and Trigger point therapy is very helpful and instant and without any cost or effort. Pain relief is instant.

please explain why pain comes, do you have idea about pain mangement, who is experiencing pain,when anesthesia is given no pain, where it has gone/?have you heard about energy centres in the body, there is bio-magnetism in the body,are you having any knowledge of potency of blood, while the blood of aged person and young person looks similar, can you find the age of blood in the laboratory, similar to finding the age of the tree, abnormality in blood is the main reason for most of the diseases and as mentioned in all sacred books blood is life. mass of muscles and bone without blood being active in circulation is called dead body or vegetative state.

there is a world beyond allopathy medicine, which needs to b explored and not summarily rejected out of contempt.

I have heard of 'energy centres of the body', 'bio magnetism etc. And if you want to believe and hope, then good luck to you. Without concrete evidence I lump such nonsense into the category of homeopathy, acupuncture etc and dismiss them out of hand as woo and wizardry.

However, if you can supply efficacy in the role of diabetes management (something you singularly neglect here) I will reconsider my position.

I am surprised that you are rejecting the alternate systems on singular disease basis. there are many people who are undergoing treatments in accupressure and accupuncture, yogasana, pranayama,reiki, etc, all over the world and getting relief for various diseases and discomforts.you should not neglect that fact.In eastern tradition,there are humpteen number of medicinal and nonmedicinal and unorthodox treatment avl. sweet is poison for you, not for nondiabetics,can you say that sweet is the problem?

for every thing you do not require proof.you can not see air, but that does not mean that no air. your exi stence proves both.

YOU check your post prandial sugar one day with a carb heavy meal and note it. The next day go to your acupuncturist after the same meal and see how much you blood sugar has dropped (or not).

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

ONE can't expect instant results in cures like this . We should give at least 2 to 3 months time before any solid improvements show up . At least that was the impression given to me by a doctor who practices acupuncture also.

May or may not help diabetes but some of the observations given here, it does not seem to be utterly useless in helping to cure at least some ailments. My neighbor's daughter had unbearable lower back pain which could not be cured in USA and she came to Bangalore hearing there is one acupuncturist who can help. In less than a month 90% of the pain is gone and he said remaining 10% may remain and acupuncture may not help to remove that 10%.

In the videos of Ramdev Shivir people claim BS readings come down to some points after applying acupressure in pancreas area in hands and feet both...5 mins for each hand and feet...During throat pain,throat infection, upper back pain and thyroid too I found it helpful...

Gd. But my sister could not get relief from backahe after 3 months acupuncture therapy. Etiolopathology must be different.

I believe acupuncture is not reliable treatment. Reliability depends on the acupuncturist and also seem to have different effects on different patients. The effect on all patients seem to be not uniform which makes it less dependable by people. The acupuncturist seem to play very important role. I heard one famous acupuncturist in Gangaram Hospital in Delhi who is famous for curing very chronic ailments and some big shot politicians too got help from him successfully. Likewise there is one I am aware of, in Bangalore.

Hi Suamo...

My wife had bad crippling neck and upper back pain a year back...medical reports almost normal...She did accupressure, yoga asan , and pranayam for 1 hr daily religiously and pains resolved in a month and continued the same for a year...body parameters as per medical reports are now better than before and pains never come back...what do you want as a proof now...I share these experiences , so that someone can get benefited from these experiences...

I was referring to the unpredictability of any treatment modality. Good your wife recovered completely. I'm now pressuring my sister to cut down carbs as much as possible. See what happens.

you are right ...Improving on diet should be first step towards healing...but diet alone is not enough to get all done...small small things along with good diet give results like yoga asan and accupressure works great . It takes time to see the results with asans and accupressure...so pranayam is necessary to add to this recipe to get perseverance, patience and overall positive though patterns in the journey of healing ...disappointment can easily clouds mind , if we do not see the results in some days

Any medicine or any theory may not given proof to everybody so it may not be given proof with evidence If the person takes ayurvdic or homeopathic if he feels good control he may not given proof how it is control

Similarly sulfunalurea drugs glipizide may suitable and control but mostof the person it may not help ? they take glimepride or gliclazide and some may take Janumet or others so no proof given If other person used it may be help him or not ?

Similarly Magneto theory accupressure Rekhi system mayhelp to some but not possible to given evidnce Since this is not mathematics

In mathematics we may given proof that 2 +2 = 4 but in medical is not possible

Yoga pranayam etc may not possible to given proof .

If the person personally involves that system it may be found it.

This is the public forum every person may start discussion any type Acupressure magneto theory ayurvedic homeopathic and allopathy also. But no one may not used this forum as marketing their products.

Those interested persons may use and find wether it helps or not ? those who not interested in that method left out and simply look another discussion .
