Leg pain is due to prolonged uncontrolled diabetes which led to peripheral neuropathy. Drugs like pregabalin may relieve the symptoms but it has many side effects as well.
Consult your doctor.

Could you please give more information:
1. Is it on both legs or one leg?
2. Which part of your leg? Is it from hip, thigh, below the knee and foot?
3. Blood glucose levels?
4. Controlled blood sugar how controlled?
5. Are you on any medication.
I am asking the above questions because I am not on medication for type 2, life style change and regular exercise.
I am getting pain in my hip, thigh and all the way down to the foot!!, now gout as well.
In my case I had fall in the snow in UK few times!, I have had low back pain for many years as well.
I put up with the pain by the use of soft bands in the pain area. It helps but not all the time. I do not want to go on pain medication.
Sciatica refers to pain, weakness, numbness, or tingling in the leg. It is caused by injury to or pressure on the sciatic nerve. Sciatica is a symptom of a medical problem. It is not a medical condition on its own.

Sir my doctor advised me to use ball exercise by keeping the needles like ball under the foot and roll it for 10 times every day in the morning for blood circulation. This helps to reduce pain in the day. Phisotheripist also helps you with good exercises to get relief.
