6.6 indicates good control. It can be better. However, that means living a very controlled life.Shedding a few kilo's will help. My doctor asked me to check levels 2 hours after dinner once a while. Some time it happens that the day time control is good but post dinner the levels are raised. That fluctuation impacts the HB1ac readings which is an average of 3 months.

Enjoy!

Are your BS levels consistent? BS spike in between 45 min - 90 min also contributes to Hba1c.

6.6 is not good control. It has to be < 5.7 at least.

There are many other factors which affect Hba1c reading. Red blood cell life, hematocrit , hemoglobin levels etc.

Fasting once in a while might help diabetes; so also exercise.Eating low sugar fruits is also good.Worry about Glucose in the blood, as it is the real indicator as to how your diabetes is running.Do whole blood diabetes package tests once in a while from a respectable diagnostic center/hospital and see your diabetologist with the report for guidance.

Hello Arun,

Why absurd......?

While typing ketones using mobile phone, the spelling automatically got changed to keystone. I posted the reply without noticing the spelling error.

This is a matter of understanding only. I hope all others have understood what I mean.

Please don't be arrogant...

Hi Arun,

My uric acid level is 7.x and cholesterol is little high.

I am willing to start LCHF diet. But I am concerned because I did not get any satisfying answer from lchf followers, related to uric acid and cholesterol.

Please help me if possible by you.
