Could any one tell me the Creatinine and GFR levels to go for Dialysis. How one could control both these levels?

I can only speak from my own experience, the NHS in the UK do not charge for dialysis so it is not expensive for the patient...

I was started on APD when my GFR reached 8 and my creatinine was 500+

I asked to start dialysis asap as I was very unwell

your consultant should be able to discuss your options with you

My Creatinine level is 260 and GFR is 25. I am on diet to keep these two under control. When I go the Kidney clinic they have a habit of talking about dialysis. I read that the criteria is 400 for Creatinine level and GFR is 10.

Glomeruluar Filtration Rate of the Kidney is GFR. It is the filtration of the blood. Normally this test is done pn 24 Hr Urine tes. The reading indicates how ell the kidney is functioning. If the l;evel goes below 10 a person has to go for dialysis. There are stages categorised on GFR readings,

Is this OK?Please guide!
