Hi Friends

First of all thanks to all members for valuable suggestions for controlling Diabetes.

I have switched to LCHF diet 3 months back and my HBA1c improved from 8.4 to 6.8 levels and my weight also reduced from 83 to 79 kg.

My PP levels are coming in range of 100 to 130 even random levels are 90 to 120 but my fasting levels are generally high in range of 130 to 160.

I am taking Diamicron Xr max one tablet in morning and Metfort 500 and Onglayaza 5mg in night .

Pl suggest so that I can control my fasting levels also.

Morning : Tea and 5-6 almonds after 1 hour big bowl of lentil or salad along with medicine.

Around 11: I take Green tea and some 25-30 gms peanut.

lunch: Watermelon, cucumber and papaya big bowl.

evening : tea and some peanuts or roasted Bengal gram.

Late evening: Some times Paneer/chicken Tikka/Chicken seekh ( 2-3 times a week along with 2 alcoholic drinks of 50 ml each no beer )

Dinner: Again big katori of subzi or dal ( try to avoid potatoes) along with medicine.

It is long documentary but old as 10 years back science. Please note if you not controlling curb intake you c' not control diabetic.Remember 90% of type 2 diabetic are over weight & And initially they consumed extra carb on daily intake food. And loaded with extra loaded of insulin. Remember normal in our blood has approximately 5-7 gm of sugar exactly 1 tsf of sugar but our lack of dietary knowledge we consuming lots of carb. Therefore you must reduce as you can carb.

hello sharmaji, I am also seeing the same issue. My FBS is pretty high around the same range as yours. What time do you have your dinner and what time do you sleep ? I have dinner around 8:00pm but sleep at 10:30pm or so. If you drink some buttermilk or eat some peanuts at bed time, it seems to reduce the FBS. Try it and let us know how it works for you. This information about night snack was obtained from internet. I am also trying this.

Thanks.

Do not consume food after 7:00 pm. Eat less food more times in a day.

Engage in regular brisk walking for about 30 minutes in a day.
