It is good that you want to reduce your weight. In my view, the most important point to be remembered is how much food you are consuming in terms of calorific value and how much energy you are spending by way of physical activity, exercise etc.If the input is more than output you will end up with a positive nutritional balance. In other terms, the positive balance gets converted into extra weight. So,you should aim to bring the balance into negative range. It can be done by reducing input i.e eating less food and increasing the output by being active during most part of the day, doing regular exercises like walking, playing games etc. If you keep the nutritional balance in the negative range constantly, you will be successful in reducing weight in a healthy and gradual manner. But you have to take care to eat a balanced diet and a variety of foods so that you are getting all the essential nutrients. Also, your weight reduction efforts should not be so severe that your health gets impaired.Moderation is the mantra.

we are not machines. don't equate input to out put. some times excessive physical work outs affect our health. it will not help u to reduce weight. in my opinion light exercise with suitable diet may help in reducing weight.

Can we have a study of LCHF . Low carb is defined as 100 or 10 portions. What about the count of Fat ? and other nutrients. The calorie intake I think should depend upon the type of work one does or how much a person can normally burn with out adding to the weight. I would definitely like to keep the Pharma related dictums out of this forum.

The calorie intake is related to the calorie you burn . which depends on your vocation. If you are a hired labourer carrying 50 kgs at a time for a distance of 20 meters 20 times in 4 hours, then the work done is much higher than some people sitting and doing some other work. The mental work done is another aspect. It is best decided by an individual may be with the help of enlightened people to decide the calorie intake than to take the American standards. Most of them are Pharma controlled.

lchf works. regarding quantity u have to decide yourself. when u start saturated fat (almonds, peanut, egg items, ghee etc) u have to reduce quantity of carbohydrates. u try to correlate the results with ur intake. after some time u will come to know the lchf quantity because it depends on individual's metabolism system.

always don't expect every thing from the institutions. some times it depends on our own experience. instead of being theoretical we have to be practical.
